Ashraf Al-Khatib appointed to CFA Institute Education Advisory Board

Ashraf Al-Khatib has been named a member of the Education Advisory Committee (EAC) of the CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and credentials.

The Education Advisory Board is responsible for overseeing and guiding the processes by which the CFA Institute develops the Competency Framework, Global Body of Investment Knowledge TM (GBIK), Bodies of Knowledge (BOK), CFA Curriculum, the CIPM curriculum and any other curriculum materials developed and administered by the CFA Institute.

The Education Advisory Committee is made up of a diverse group of 14 members who reside in the following 10 countries: Argentina, Australia, China, Egypt, India, Italy, Portugal, Romania, United Kingdom and United States.

Al-Khatib is Investment Manager for Private Equity at Ekuity Holding, the investment arm of Kuwait’s sovereign wealth fund, Kuwait Investment Authority, in Egypt. He is also vice-president of the CFA Society Egypt.

Al-Khatib earned an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and is a CFA charter holder. In addition, he has passed the CPA exams and holds the ESG Investment Certificate from the CFA Institute.
