Multilingual open educational resources created to support the Ukrainian refugee crisis – Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war, Childhood Education International’s Professional Learning Center has engaged in dialogue with the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science, with colleagues from NGOs and INGOs, as well as with teachers and teacher training and leadership networks across Ukraine and in neighboring countries. accommodate refugees fleeing war. Our aim is to support teachers’ professional learning in areas of need identified nationally and regionally, including trauma-informed practice, psychosocial support and social and emotional learning. Our Open Educational Resources (OER) created within our Academy of Refugee Educators focused on quality holistic learning for children and young people and have been designed by teachers in displacement, migration and resettlement contexts for teachers working in these difficult spaces. We have translated selected documents into Ukrainian, Polish and Romanian according to the immediate priorities expressed by the partners and make them available here for download and use. The Professional Learning Center can provide guidance and support for using these OER materials, including how best to contextualize the material, facilitate professional development sessions and communities of practice, assess impact and outcomes, or to support teaching and learning.
